Welcome to the BETA version of Goofy Soccer 2 - The Maestro
The game is pretty much in shape and playable. Though, there are some bugs in the beta. Please test and write your comments.
Major Keyboard Controls (can be customized in Settings):
Direction (arrow) keys: Sets aim direction of shoots, passes, dribbling etc.
Q: kick strong high, W: kick gentle high, E: juggle
A: kick strong low, S: kick gentle low, D: dribble
Space: change curve
Hint: Press Space to change the direction of the curve. Press Space two times quickly and the curve will toggle it's magnitude (strong to gentle, gentle to strong).
Quick Guidance to Play Football:
Dribbling: Press direction keys and press D
Hint: If you don't press D or other kick keys your player will not touch the ball.
Kicking of any kind (shooting, passing, tipping etc.): Press direction keys and press Q, W, A, or S
Hint: Consider using Space to change curve before shooting and passing.
Tackling and Slide-kicking: Press S or W two times quickly.
Other Keyboard Controls (cannot be customized):
1: Open/Close Menu
2: Help
3: Replay
4: Toggle full screen
5 & 6: Change camera

If you have not already tried, you can practice pressing S two times quickly for tackling the ball. It helps a lot both in defense and attack.

thank you master, i think about player stats: speed, skill, player name and skin color, no more! maybe the height!, individual height for each player would be a great goal for the project, but no more, and about the new walk and shoot system, goofy 1 system was (maybe) easier to control. In goofy 1 ball direction was automatic, now you have to press the Space button, it's more tedious. Same for walking, before (goofy 1) arrow keys was enough, right now (goofy 2) you has press D or E key button for the player walks. Show Icon Player name same as goofy 1, and to show Icon Cpu Player Name when cpu get the ball, that is, show the player name icon of the one who owns the ball (cpu or human). Goofy 1 only show human icon. I hope you can hehe, greetings of Argentina.
I can implement the player stats and other ideas in the next version which would be great! Thank you for your ideas again.
In GS1, controls were easier. There was automatic direction help and turning off the help was an option. In the new game as you mentioned D key (for dribble) and space key (for changing the foot you use hence the curvature) were the major additions. The controls are more difficult now but the variety of moves you can do became much more and more sophisticated so I decided to keep this manual style. Maybe in the next version I can add an easy mode as an option but I really want people to discover what they can do with the current version.
I always had South American football in my mind while making this game. I wanted it to be aesthetic and skillful. That's why the default teams are Brazil and Argentina :) All the best to you!

bruh, i love this game so much, but you know what will improve the game? custom teams, leagues, like, create a team, or a league with that custom teams that you created and etc, i will love that. but the game is great.
